GenogramApp Privacy Policy

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

GenogramApp is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:

• Personal information – No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information
• Health or medical information – Your genogram data remains entirely private to you
• Device identifiers – No device IDs, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or similar tracking mechanisms
• Usage data or analytics – We don't track how you use the app, which features you access, or any behavioral data
• Location data – We never access or collect your location information

2. How Your Data is Stored

Your genogram data is stored exclusively on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account:

iCloud Backup (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud backup in your device settings, your genogram data will be synchronized with your personal iCloud account. This is entirely optional and controlled by you through iOS settings. When using iCloud:

• Your data is encrypted in transit to iCloud using Apple's encryption protocols
• Your data is stored in your private iCloud storage space
• We never have access to your iCloud data
• iCloud backup is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy

Data Encryption

Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features. While data is not separately encrypted by the app, iOS provides system-level protection for app data.

3. Third-Party Services

Apple In-App Purchases

GenogramApp uses Apple's In-App Purchase system for premium features or subscriptions. When you make a purchase:

• All payment processing is handled directly by Apple
• We do not have access to your payment information (credit card, billing address, etc.)
• Purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
• We only receive a transaction receipt to verify your purchase

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use:

• Analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or similar)
• Crash reporting tools
• Authentication services or third-party login providers
• Any other third-party SDKs or tracking frameworks

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Since we don't collect your data, we don't share it. Specifically:

• We do not share your data with any third parties
• We do not sell user data to anyone
• We do not use advertising networks within the app
• We have no servers that store your personal information

Advertising

While we may advertise GenogramApp on external platforms (such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, and Facebook), these platforms do not receive any of your personal data from our app. Any interactions you have with those advertisements are governed by the respective platform's privacy policies.

5. Your Rights and Control

Data Access and Modification

You have complete control over your genogram data:

• Access: View all your genograms directly in the app at any time
• Modify: Edit any nodes, relationships, or information within your genograms
• Create: Add new genograms and family structures as needed

Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time:

• Delete individual genograms: Remove specific genograms from within the app
• Delete all data: Uninstall the app to remove all local data from your device
• iCloud deletion: If you delete genograms from your device, they will also be removed from iCloud
• Complete removal: Since we don't store your data on our servers, deletion from your device means permanent removal

Data Export

GenogramApp currently does not include a built-in data export feature. Your genograms remain accessible only within the app on your device and iCloud (if enabled).

6. Children's Privacy

GenogramApp is suitable for users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, we do not specifically collect information from children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). No age verification is required to use the app.

Parents and guardians should be aware that while the app is safe from a data collection perspective, they should supervise children's use of any digital device according to their own family guidelines.

7. International Users

GenogramApp is available to users worldwide. Since all data is stored locally on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud), no data crosses borders to our servers. Users in the European Union, California, and other jurisdictions with specific privacy regulations can use the app with confidence that no personal data is collected or processed by us.

GDPR Compliance (European Union)

For EU users, our privacy-first approach means:

• No personal data processing requires consent
• Your right to access, rectify, and erase data is inherently satisfied since you control all data locally
• No data portability issues as data remains on your device
• No cross-border data transfers to third countries

CCPA Compliance (California)

For California residents:

• We do not sell personal information
• We do not collect personal information for business purposes
• You have full control to delete information by managing data within the app

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Significant changes will be communicated through the App Store update notes
• Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
