Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using GenogramApp. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User") and Orvian SASU, operating under the trade name Maison des Cliniciens (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), regarding your use of GenogramApp (the "App").
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
2. License Grant
App License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal iOS device solely for your personal or professional use.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the App to any third party
- Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or prohibited purpose
3. User Responsibilities
Professional Use
Important: GenogramApp is a tool designed to assist healthcare professionals and individuals in creating genograms. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You are solely responsible for all professional decisions and clinical judgments made using this App.
Data Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
- All data you create or store in the App remains your sole responsibility
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data
- We do not have access to or control over your locally stored data
- Data loss may occur due to device failure, software bugs, or user error, and we are not liable for such losses
4. In-App Purchases
GenogramApp may offer premium features through Apple's In-App Purchase system. By making a purchase, you agree to pay all applicable fees as displayed in the App Store and comply with Apple's payment terms.
5. Intellectual Property
The App is owned by Orvian and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You retain all rights to genograms you create. GenogramApp and Maison des Cliniciens are trademarks of Orvian.
6. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORVIAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Our total liability shall not exceed €50 or the amount paid for the App in the preceding 12 months.

Privacy Summary: GenogramApp does not collect, store, or share your personal data. All genograms are stored locally on your device.
9. Governing Law

1. Service Description
The GenogramApp Webapp is a free, browser-based tool for creating genograms. The tool operates entirely within your web browser—no server-side processing of your genogram data occurs.
2. Privacy and Data Handling
Client-Side Only: All genogram data you create is processed and stored exclusively in your browser. We do not transmit, store, or have access to your genogram content.
No Account Required
The webapp does not require account creation. You can use the tool immediately without providing any personal information.
No Cookies
The webapp does not use cookies of any kind.
3. Limitations
No Save/Reload Functionality
The free webapp does not support saving your work for later editing. If you need to save and reopen genogram files, consider our Pro apps for macOS and iOS.
Watermark on Exports
Exported files from the free webapp include a small watermark. Watermark-free exports are available in our Pro apps.
4. Intellectual Property
The webapp interface, code, and design are the property of Orvian SASU. Genograms you create using the tool are your own property.

Not a Medical Device: ChosenWeight is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not intended to replace professional medical care, psychotherapy, or eating disorder treatment.
Safety Restrictions
ChosenWeight is NOT appropriate for individuals who:
- Have a current or past eating disorder
- Have a BMI below 18 (underweight)
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Are under 18 years of age
- Have serious medical conditions requiring supervised weight management

Not a Therapy Substitute: BetterLove is not a therapeutic tool and does not provide mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not intended to replace professional psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health care. Always consult qualified mental health professionals for concerns about your emotional wellbeing or relationships.
Design Philosophy
BetterLove is designed with emotional safety as a priority:
- Short 2–3 minute reflective sessions to minimize cognitive load
- No social features, comparisons, or external sharing
- Calm, non-intrusive interface with gentle feedback
- Complete privacy with local-only data storage

- We do not have access to or control over your locally stored data
- Data loss may occur due to device failure, software bugs, or user error, and we are not liable for such losses
5. In-App Purchases
Payment Terms
BetterLove may offer premium features or subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system. By making a purchase, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees as displayed in the App Store
- Provide accurate and complete payment information through Apple
- Comply with Apple's payment terms and conditions
Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription:
- Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your Apple account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple Account settings
6. Privacy and Data
Local Storage
BetterLove prioritizes your privacy by storing all personal data locally on your device. We do not:
- Collect or transmit your relationship data, gratitude entries, or tasks
- Have access to your personal reflections
- Share your data with third parties
- Use your data for advertising or marketing

7. Notifications
BetterLove may request permission to send local notifications to support your reflective practice. These notifications:
- Are generated entirely on your device
- Do not transmit any data to external servers
- Can be disabled at any time in your device settings
- Are designed to gently encourage practice without being intrusive
8. Intellectual Property
Ownership
The App, including all software, code, design, graphics, text, and other content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Orvian and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content
You retain all rights to the reflections, entries, and data you create using the App. We do not claim any ownership rights to your content. Since your data is stored locally on your device, we do not have access to, control over, or rights to your content.
9. Disclaimers and Warranties
No Mental Health Advice: BetterLove does not provide mental health, psychological, or relationship advice. The App is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment. Always consult qualified professionals for personalized care.
No Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the App will improve your relationships or that use of the App will be beneficial for you.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ORVIAN BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any emotional or psychological consequences arising from use of the App
- Relationship outcomes or decisions made based on reflective exercises
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of data stored locally on your device
You assume all risks associated with using a reflective journaling app and agree that use is entirely at your own risk.
11. Term and Termination
Term
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App.
Termination by You
You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the App from your device and ceasing all use.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data permanently.
12. Updates and Modifications
We may release updates or new versions of the App from time to time. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
